Video to prompt examples you can adapt

Illustrative examples showing what to describe in a reference video, a pair of frame prompts, and motion directions to add when creating a video. Your analysis will depend on your reference.

Product reveal

A product on a simple tabletop, lit from one side, with a slow move toward its main detail.

Start frame prompt

A matte cream ceramic mug on a warm oak table beside a window. Medium close-up at table height, soft daylight from camera left, gentle shadow to the right, muted beige background, the entire mug visible, no text or logos.

End frame and motion directions

End frame prompt

The same cream ceramic mug and oak table, now in a tighter close-up of the handle and rim. Keep the soft left-side daylight, beige background, and warm colors consistent; the mug remains still.

Motion directions to add

Add a slow camera push toward the handle. Keep the mug fixed in place and end on the close-up. Set the shot duration in your video tool.

Cinematic landscape

A wide outdoor scene with foreground depth, distant mountains, and a gradual reveal.

Start frame prompt

Wide landscape view from a rocky ridge at sunrise. Dark grass and stones in the foreground, a misty valley in the middle distance, layered blue mountains on the horizon, warm light along the ridge, restrained natural colors.

End frame and motion directions

End frame prompt

The same valley at sunrise, framed from slightly farther forward so the foreground rocks sit near the lower edge. Preserve the mountain shapes, pale mist, and warm rim of light; reveal more of the valley floor.

Motion directions to add

Move the camera forward slowly with a level horizon. Let the foreground pass out of frame while the distant mountains remain steady.

Vertical food scene

A short vertical clip that starts with the whole dish and ends on one texture or action.

Start frame prompt

Vertical composition of a bowl of tomato pasta on a small wooden table. A fork rests beside the bowl, soft window light from the right, warm red and neutral brown colors, uncluttered background, three-quarter view showing the full dish.

End frame and motion directions

End frame prompt

Closer view of the same pasta bowl as a fork lifts a small portion above the rim. Preserve the light direction, table, and bowl position; make the sauce and pasta texture the focus, with the background softly out of focus.

Motion directions to add

Keep the camera steady while the fork lifts the pasta. Use one continuous action, then hold the final frame. Choose a vertical aspect ratio in your video tool.

Video to prompt: common questions

How long does a video analysis take?

Processing time varies with the video, service availability and retries. Wait for the current request to finish and read any error message before trying again. There is no guaranteed 30-second turnaround.

What is a video to prompt generator?

A video to prompt generator describes a reference video as reusable text. TubePrompter analyzes YouTube videos and returns scene timestamps, visual notes, and start and end frame image prompts. Use these as a starting point for an image or video workflow.

How do I extract a prompt from a video?

Sign in, paste a public YouTube video or Shorts URL, and select Analyze. Review the scene breakdown against the reference, then copy a start or end frame prompt. Edit the subject, setting, and motion directions before using it in your chosen generation tool.

Is the video to prompt generator free?

The free plan includes 5 video analyses per month and requires an account. Each free analysis covers up to the first 60 seconds and returns up to 3 scenes. Paid plans offer more analyses, longer input windows, and additional visual details.

Can I use an Instagram Reel, TikTok link, or an uploaded file?

TubePrompter currently accepts YouTube video and Shorts URLs. Direct Instagram and TikTok links and local video uploads are not supported. If the same clip is publicly available on YouTube, use that YouTube URL. You can also study a clip manually using the linked workflow guides.

Can I recover the original AI prompt from a video?

A finished video does not reveal its original hidden prompt or generation settings. TubePrompter writes new descriptions from visible content. Check the scene notes against the reference: inferred camera or lighting details can be inaccurate.

How do I turn the result into an AI video prompt?

Start with a frame prompt, then describe how the subject and camera should move and where the shot should end. Adapt the text to the controls and limits of your chosen video model. TubePrompter provides visual notes and frame prompts; you generate the finished video in a separate tool.

Why might a video analysis fail?

Check that the link opens a public YouTube video, that you are signed in, and that your monthly analysis quota is available. Private, deleted, or restricted videos may be inaccessible. If the video is available but analysis fails, retry later or try another public clip.
